Do you know how to EQ the drums and other instruments to make it sound better?
my mixes are dry, lifeless. I need to know frequencies exact all cymbals and toms, catch and kick. how to remove and how often, and others. only some guidelines. I do not understand how to use a parametric equalizer or other word-eq either. I have all sorts of computer effects and do not know how to use them correctly. I just get the basics about compression, but I'm the Padawan learner. any help would be appreciated. IM not wrong to develop the levels and all preamplifier Jazz, not cut and stablizing standards. the right mix opaque and serious power and depth sound. if an online school to become an engineer, please point me in the right direction. I do not know tried and true "on paper"? Specifications frequency techniques and all that, I just used my ears. Have you considered checking out BBE Sonic Maximizer and things sound exciting? Is supposed to provide dull mixes strength and clarity.
